  • Dr Colleen Kawalilak

    Dr. Colleen Kawalilak is an Associate Professor in Adult Learning, Faculty of Education at University of Calgary. Prior to completing her MEd/PhD in Adult, Community, and Higher Education at the University of Calgary, she worked as a social worker in child protection and family life education with Alberta Social Services (1973-1981); an instructor, program coordinator, Bow Valley College (1981-2000); and as a consultant, Teaching & Learning Centre, SAIT Polytechnic (2000-2004). Based on her work experience, Dr. Kawalilak herself received PLAR credits towards her undergraduate degree from Athabasca University. Dr. Kawalilak’s extensive background in planning and delivering programs for adult learners in a variety of traditional, non-traditional, and diverse adult education and adult learning contexts informs her facilitation of organizational development, as well as her research and teaching.
