Summit 2013 – Surging to the Future: Research-informed innovation in the Recognition of Prior Learning will be an invite-only gathering of BC leaders and international experts in the field of learning recognition at the Coast Plaza Hotel in downtown Vancouver. Together, we will integrate the best of international policy and practice to determine future directions for BCPLAN and for increasing access to credentials and employment in BC.

The inaugural BCPLAN Summit 2010: Recognizing Learning in BC: Charting a Pathway, Building a Network, brought diverse BC stakeholders together to create a shared vision for a learning recognition network in BC. Now, BCPLAN and Thompson Rivers University (TRU)’s Prior Learning International Research Centre (PLIRC) are delighted to bring world-recognized experts to join our BC RPL (Recognizing Prior Learning) community at Summit 2013. Attendees will strategize how to increase access to credentials and employment in BC through partnership and innovation.

Now is the time to turn BCPLAN’s strategic plan into province-wide action.
